The Kurri Kurri aluminium smelter is located at Kurri Kurri, in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. The smelter produced 164,000 tonnes of aluminium in 2006 and is owned and operated by Hydro Aluminium - part of the Norsk Hydro group. ==History== The first potline of the Kurri Kurri smelter was started in 1969.
